I’m Anamaria Dickerson and I currently work as a staff writer at The Argus-Press in Owosso, Michigan. Before I moved back Michigan I worked as a reporter at The Chronicle-Tribune in Marion, Indiana from June 2016 until January 2017.
I attended Central Michigan University from 2009-2014 where I earned my bachelor of science degree in journalism with a concentration in news-editorial. During my time at CMU I worked as a reporter for Central Michigan Life and as a writer for Grand Central Magazine. I was also a member of the Beta Phi chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon, where I served as the public relations chair in fall 2012.
In the summer months prior to graduating in August I worked as an intern at WLNS-TV in Lansing, Michigan where I learned the ropes of how a TV newsroom operates. I also worked as a reporting intern at HOMTV in Okemos, Michigan from January 2016-May 2016 where I gained additional hands-on experience in broadcast reporting and learned how to effectively use social media.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching TV shows such as Law and Order: SVU, Pretty Little Liars and Sex and the City, and hanging out with my family and friends.
On this blog (that I try my best to maintain but it sometimes gets pushed to the back burner) you’ll find reviews of books, TV shows and/or movies; lists; my stories about moving; and relationship/heartbreak experiences/advice.
If you have a blog, follow me and I’ll be sure to follow you back.
